Dish Network Customer Support Chat

Welcome to DISH Network Chat.
(03) MKtech Charina B.TW8: Hi! How may I help you?
Gabriel Rodriguez: I signed up for service this summer and now with winter weather here every time it snows we lose our signal completely! What can we do?
(03) MKtech Charina B.TW8: I am sorry to hear that you are having an issue. I'd be happy to resolve that for you.
(03) MKtech Charina B.TW8: In order to do proper troubleshooting we need you to have access to your equipment. Are you currently at home?
Gabriel Rodriguez: how is that supposed to help with the snow?
(03) MKtech Charina B.TW8: I apologize for the inconvenience although it rarely happens that there's s signal loss due to the weather, but once bad weather had passed, automatically service will come back on.
(03) MKtech Charina B.TW8: If you're having some signal issues right now, we can perform some simple troubleshooting to try to fix it.
Gabriel Rodriguez: In my case it is not a rarety. When it snows I lose my signal. It's not snowing right now and the signal is fine.
(03) MKtech Charina B.TW8: I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
(03) MKtech Charina B.TW8: Is this a reoccurring issue?
Gabriel Rodriguez: Would you please pay attention to what I'm saying? I already answered this question.
(03) MKtech Charina B.TW8: Thanks for verifying these information.
(03) MKtech Charina B.TW8: If there's bad weather, the signal can be affected.
(03) MKtech Charina B.TW8: You said it only happens when there's snow.
Gabriel Rodriguez: I'm sorry to say this, but your ability to communicate in written English seems limited. I would like to continue this conversation with a manager.
(03) MKtech Charina B.TW8: After the bad weather has passed, the service will be back just like now.
(03) MKtech Charina B.TW8: I'm sorry if you feel that way.
(03) MKtech Charina B.TW8: Please give me 2-3 minutes while I connect you to an available Supervisor.

I should've asked for the supervisor to begin with.

Handle With Care

As I walked into the building for work I saw a FedEx guy and thought "What could he be tossing, oh so carelessly, onto a cart?". Upon further inspection I found that the boxes he was piling up were projectors unmistakably labeled "FRAGILE - HANDLE WITH CARE".

So very true about writing...

From http://www.instantshift.com/2010/10/18/a-complete-guide-to-effective-writing/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+iShift+(instantShift)&utm_content=Google+Reader

The Importance of “Good” Writing

Let’s face it: there’s a lot of really “bad” writing online. By “bad”, I don’t necessarily mean the content itself. I mean the spelling, the grammar, and the sentence structure. Some of this comes from people not writing in their native language. But a lot of it also comes from laziness and people not wanting to take the time to write properly.
The thing is, though, that a lot of people are turned off by poor writing. It’s unprofessional, and makes you appear less intelligent than you likely are. There are a lot of people who simply won’t read articles that are riddled with grammatical and spelling errors.
This becomes infinitely more important when we’re talking about persuasive writing. You’re trying to sell something, but yet you can’t take five minutes to proofread your copy? If that’s the case, then why would anyone believe that what you’re trying to sell is really worth their time, effort, and/or money?
Bottom line: Take a few minutes whenever you finish writing something and proofread it. If you’re not a native speaker in whatever language you’re writing, ask someone who is to take a look at it. Sometimes the line is fuzzy between someone who’s being lazy and someone who just doesn’t have the necessary language skills, and readers can’t always tell the difference.

Apple missed the "openness" of HTML5

Although this showcase is supposed to work on HTML5-enabled browsers they wrote it so that it would only run on Safari. Way to be 2-faced!
